According to its natural characteristics, as well as its cultural and historical development, Croatia can be divided into four most popular regions: Central Croatia region, Istria and Kvarner region, Dalmatia region and South Dalmatian Dubrovnik region.

Central Croatia has rich cultural and historical heritage. Visitors can see many castles, monuments, churches, vineyards and taste traditional cuisines. Croatia travel Porec Porec is probably the most visited resort in Istria, known for its hotel settlements, the Blue and the Green Lagoons, and the islet of St. Nicolas in the vicinity. A Roman colony since the 2nd century BC, Porec is a town with a preserved Roman urban pattern, early and late medieval buildings, the most outstanding being Euphrasian Basilica built in the 6th century on the site of an earlier basilica from the 4th century and of the even earlier Mauro's oratorium, of which floor mosaics have been preserved.

The island has a safari park which is home to various animals, such as zebras, giraffes, bison, camels and deer. Some extraordinary examples of Roman and Byzantine heritage can be found on the islands, like the rare plant and animal species.

Four of eight Croatian National parks are located in Dalmatia: Paklenica, Krka, Mljet and Kornati.

Travel Split Dalmatia Croatia Split is the second largest city in Croatia, and the regional capital of Dalmatia, built inside and around the historical Diocletian's Palace from the third century.
This eternally youthful Mediterranean city has lived out its urban rhythm within Diocletian's palace for a full 1700 years now. From then, up until the present day, the centuries-long presence of this UNESCO-protected city and registered World Heritage Site has written both the history and the present day life of this southern Croatian metropolis.
Croatia Zadar travel Zadar is the main city in Northern Dalmatia. Dubrovnik is the most famous travel destination in Croatia, situated in the South Dalmatia region.

The city is a living museum and a live stage, and has an ideal connection between its historical past and the modern day. It is surrounded by medieval walls that are 1940 metres long and are preserved in their original form. The enchanting landscape, including the nearby islands, the beeches, the numberless historical sites, the warmth of the climate and people will provide an unforgettable experience.

There are many beautiful islands in Croatia, like Korcula, the birthplace of Marco Polo, jet-set island Hvar - the sunniest place in Croatia, Brac, which has one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean Zlatni rat - a windsurfing paradise; the island of Mljet which is situated between the island of Korcula and Dubrovnik; the island Krk, Cres, Losinj, Rab, Pag in the Kvarner...to mention only most famous.
